“Build less and live large”
We believe architecture should enrich life and the environment, not overwhelm it.
By focusing on quality over quantity, we seek to reduce excess and concentrate on what truly matters.
Sustainable projects that connect people, nature and the built environment to create lasting value.

-
Custom homes tailored specifically to how their residents want to live.
New builds, renovations, heritage extensions and interior fit outs shaped to the site and to the people who use them.
Each project balances clarity, comfort and character to create homes that that endure.
-
Company representation through custom architecture and interiors.
Workplaces, offices, breweries, retail and other custom business spaces in Hamburg and Western Australia.
Each project is guided by atmosphere, function and sustainability, with a spark that makes it memorable and commercially valuable.
-
Spaces that tell a story.
Branded architecture is about translating identity into atmosphere, shaping environments that carry meaning and trigger connection.
It is where values become tangible, and design flows beyond logos or colours into the way people experience a place.
-
Modular systems and bespoke pieces for workplaces and homes in Hamburg and Western Australia.
Crafted with honest materials and local artistry, our designs elevate a space and shape memorable human moments.
-
Public architecture, cultural spaces and local initiatives that bring people together.
Projects are guided by inclusivity, sustainability and a commitment to shared experience.
We also develop conceptual designs that bring clarity and vision to organisations and communities.
What we do.
Our projects may be smaller in scale, but they are great in purpose.

Our approach is based on collaboration and transparency.
Every project begins with understanding. We take the time to listen to your needs, identify your priorities and explore the character of your site.
Our process then unfolds in three clear steps:
-
We begin by listening.
The goal is to create a clear project brief.Through a tailored questionnaire and open conversation, we capture our clients vision, goals, priorities, budget and timeline in a single document.
This brief becomes the foundation for the design process ahead.
-
Where ideas take shape.
We explore options through sketches, plans and 3D models to test possibilities and refine direction.
Depending on the clients chosen path, the concept can progress into design development, approvals and documentation.
Everything needed to bring the vision to life.
-
We coordinate consultants, craftsmen and builders from our trusted network to realise the project.
Whether managed locally or remotely with on-site support, we oversee the build through construction until to handover (and beyond).

About the Studio
Joshua Brook Studio is based in Hamburg, with projects across Germany and Western Australia.
We are smaller in scale, but deeply personal in approach. Collaboration is central. Each project draws on the skills of clients, consultants, tradespeople and artisans, with teams assembled from our trusted network.
Founded by Western Australian native Tim Pardoe, the studio takes its name from the small river where he grew up.
The Joshua Brook is a natural paradise, a landscape that remains a touchstone and a reminder that balance between people, architecture and nature is always a work of care. It also reflects a belief that even in a building industry shaped by rules and regulation, creativity can still flow through convention. When it does, it can create architecture that delivers both financial and emotional value.
