A Home for a Growing Idea
Every start up reaches a moment when culture needs a home and ambition needs a place to gather.
For Deepset, an emerging AI company in Berlin, that moment had arrived. They needed a workspace that reflected who they were becoming and offered a destination for both their team and their clients. The outcome is a space that feels confident, intelligent and deeply human.
Building Identity
We spent time with the founders getting to the core of what the brand stood for. Intelligence, exploration, teamwork. There was an honesty to their ambition. Not flashy, but deeply future focused. That translated into a material palette of deep blues, matte blacks, and warm neutrals.
The standout gesture was the “brainbox”. A black clad, backlit meeting room that sat like a thought at the centre of the space. A calm, slightly enigmatic presence. To us, it became a symbol of the unknowable power and possibility of AI.
Planning the Flow
The existing shell carried potential but not direction. We stripped it back and reimagined how people could move, meet and focus.
A generous kitchen and a new tiered gathering space became the social heart. This is where weekly talks, shared meals and team moments naturally gather. Around it, focused work zones and quiet corners support deep thinking and steady concentration. The layout encourages connection without noise and creativity without chaos.
“Huge congratulations to the brilliant minds Tim Pardoe and Benjamin Donner for turning vision into reality and doing so in record time. You didn’t just design a workspace; you designed a feeling.
We can’t wait to keep filling it with conversations, whiteboard scribbles, planning sessions, debates, and laughter... and the terrace for the 4 days of sunshine a year! 😂”

Branding + Graphics
Rather than make a statement, we chose to whisper. A fine inlay of partial details picked up the curve of the logo. The colour palette repeated with subtle variation. Indirect references to the brand’s tone of voice. Confident. Minimal. Quietly playful.
Architecture as an extension of identity, not a billboard for it.
Culture in Formation
Young companies evolve quickly. Their spaces must be flexible enough to evolve with them.
We created variety rather than uniformity. Sofas at the entrance offer a casual landing zone. Modular workshop areas adapt to group work and rapid sessions. A long shared table encourages team rhythm. A tucked away nook supports quiet thinking. These settings help a growing team understand how they want to collaborate and belong.
Collaboration and Delivery
The process was fast, focused and built on trust. We worked closely with the founders, specialist consultants and a skilled Berlin and Hamburg build team who delivered with care and precision.
When the vision is clear and the team is aligned, you can move quickly and still get the details right. This project proved that.
A Space to Grow Into
Deepset’s headquarters is more than an office. It is a signal of where the company is heading.
Calm, focused and distinctly their own, it gives the team a home to grow into and offers clients a clear impression of who they are. Watch this space!
