Wittenbergner Weg - House in the Heide

This was a self-initiated design study for a remarkable site in Hamburg, overlooking the Elbe and surrounded by old growth forest and rolling hills.

I came across a for sale sign with a highly polished but conservative mansion proposal that, in my view, did not respond meaningfully to the landscape. I wanted to imagine something different. Something more connected to its setting. Something that felt both ambitious and sustainable.

I used this opportunity to test new 3D and video tools. Over a few days, I developed a concept sketch and a short video that explored an alternative vision for the site.

It was unsolicited work. I shared it with the agent, and after an initial positive response, I heard nothing more. In the end, nothing was built.

But these quiet, personal studies remain essential to my practice. They are a way to explore ideas freely, test tools, and stay connected to the landscape and materials that inspire my work.
