Joshua Brook is named after a small river in Australia’s south-west, traditionally Noongar land.

It meanders down through the Darling Scarp, forming exquisitely secluded + memorable landscapes as it flows to the Indian Ocean.

Joshua Brook founder and architect Tim Pardoe grew up here.

It helped shape his appreciation for the natural landscape - its indomitability and delicacy, and the impact our built environment has upon it.

These sensibilities inform and inspire his approach to architecture and furniture design.

Tim Pardoe is a registered architect in both Australia and Germany. Joshua Brook Studio is the evolution of his original practice, Pardoe Design, established in 2012. Based in Hamburg with his young family, Tim co-founded Kubit, a design practice specialising in contemporary office environments with 2 local architects.

This collaboration provides access to an exceptional network of designers and consultants who contribute to selected Joshua Brook projects.

In Australia, the studio delivers work through a trusted network of specialists and builders, ensuring projects are realised with local expertise and precision. Tim returns regularly to oversee projects, meet clients, and maintain a strong presence across both continents.
